Mainstream and Social Media 3

This item is so very, very true. The political leftists populating the mainstream media are so deceptive, disingenuous, dishonest, and self-righteous they cannot tell the good from the bad. They must actually think Joe Biden is a good, just and competent authoritarian while Ron DeSantis is a "deeply authoritarian figure".  Too many of them are that far off the reservation. What this really tells us is that the fringe political left is scared to death of Ron DeSantis. He is that competent and good of a leader, something old Joe and anyone else in the Democrat party cannot come close to matching.

Quote: "NY Mag writer wrecked for calling DeSantis ‘a more competent authoritarian’ than Trump: ‘Hysterical’. Twitter users shredded New York Magazine writer Jonathan Chait for claiming Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is a 'deeply authoritarian figure'.

Twitter users across the platform skewered a New York Magazine writer for his claim that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a tyrannical figure. New York Magazine Jonathan Chait called an avalanche of mockery upon himself after he claimed, "DeSantis is a deeply authoritarian figure who is consolidating the fringe right-wing groups Trump brought into the party."

He added in a following tweet, "The Trump-skeptical conservatives who love DeSantis are distrustful of Trump's incompetence, not his authoritarianism. They prefer a more competent authoritarian, which DeSantis is."

Chait had originally been responding to a tweet from activist and education reformer Chris Rufo observing that "The test for ‘NeverTrump’ intellecuals [sic] is where they stand on DeSantis. He should be their guy: elite education, military background, leadership experience, impeccable character. If they can't get behind him, the takeaway is clear: it's not about principles; they serve the Left."

The internet, as per usual, did not hold back in skewering Chait’s hyperbolic statement that DeSantis was anything close to totalitarian in nature. Rufo himself responded by suggesting: "Translation: the false accusations of ‘racist’ and 'white supremacist' have lost their rhetorical power, so we are switching to ‘authoritarian’ and ‘threat to democracy.’" PR Executive Giancarlo Sopo made a similar observation about the nature of liberal critiques, "For these people, authoritarianism just means policies enacted via the democratic process that they dislike." None other than DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw responded to Chait, "Hysterical when media activists call @GovRonDeSantis an ‘authoritarian’ because he enacted protections for workers from corporate vaccine mandates. Apparently the non-authoritarian thing to do would be to allow government/corporate collusion to deprive citizens of medical freedom."

TEXAS AG ON CASEY DESANTIS KNOCKING DEM LOCKDOWNS FOR COVID LEARNING LOSS: ‘U-HAULS GOING IN ONE DIRECTION’The Spectator contributing editor Stephen L. Miller replied, "The guy who wouldn't impose government lockdowns on businesses or schools in his state is the authoritarian. Have fun with that one guys."Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell slammed the tweet by suggesting that Florida, along with Texas, has been one of the freest states in the nation under DeSantis' leadership. "This is dishonest clickbait. If DeSantis were authoritarian Florida would still be closed due to COVID. Instead, next to Texas, it's remained open and free," she said. Key West Beach, Florida, on September 18, 2020.      The White House Press Briefings are useless affairs. Nothing of substance comes of them other than pure left-wing propaganda. This item illustrates the point. Quote: "Jean-Pierre Has No Real Answer for Why Americans Believe Country Is on the 'Wrong Track'. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was grilled by Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy on why the majority of Americans believe the U.S. is heading down the "wrong track."

Doocy was referring to a recent poll by Monmouth University showing that a whopping 88 percent of citizens think the country is going in the wrong direction, while only 10 percent say it is on the right track. "Why do you think it is that 88% of people in this country polled by Monmouth believe the country is on the wrong track?" Doocy asked Jean-Pierre. Like she always does, Jean-Pierre defended the Biden administration claiming that Joe Biden understands what the American people are going through. "I don't think it's that our plan is not popular with the American people. We know that the American people are feeling the high cost. We understand what they are feeling," she told Doocy. Jean-Pierre kept up Biden's favorite narrative of blaming everyone and everything but himself for the country's downward spiral. "He understands that gas prices are high because of Putin's tax hike, because of the brutal war that Putin has taken on in Ukraine and their brave fight to fight for their democracy. That's what we're seeing here. And also the food security, the food cost has skyrocketed," she said.

Doocy went on to argue that Biden's plan to resolve high prices are unpopular with the American population, to which Jean-Pierre claimed that the U.S. is in its best economic shape in history. "Because we look at inflation, we look at where we are economically – and we are in a strong, we are stronger economically than we have been in history. You look at the unemployment numbers at 3.6%. When you look at the jobs numbers, more than 8.7 million new jobs created. That is important. But we understand that gas prices are high and we understand the costs are high," Jean-Pierre claimed."    Jean-Pierre Has No Real Answer for Why Americans Believe Country Is on the 'Wrong Track' (townhall.com)    See what I mean???   Not yet clear?. The White House is constantly in cover-up mode for Biden's numerous public speaking gaffs. The issue is increasingly an embarrassment. Quote: "WH Called Out For Cover Up Of Biden Teleprompter Gaffe. After the assistant press secretary appeared to attempt and make up for a mistake President Biden made while issuing an executive order intended to preserve abortion access, Twitter users accused the White House of lying. Biden made this statement on Friday while speaking from the White House on his efforts to protect reproductive rights. Social media swiftly pointed out that Biden had unintentionally read the speaker notes, which also contained a note ordering him to repeat the remark after it had ended. However, Assistant Press Secretary Emilie Simons made an effort to right the record in her response to the video of Biden’s mistake that Senior Digital Strategist for X Strategies Greg Price had tweeted. “No. He said, ‘let me repeat the line,’” Simons answered. Price then responded to the White House aide with this: “Yes, I totally believe you and your boss is definitely not a vegetable.”

Price persisted in tweeting at Simons, pointing out that she had previously served as the communications director for Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif, and charging that she was getting paid to lie for a living. Simons had actually shared her own remark, as noted by Townhall writer Mia Cathell. Simons received criticism for her message from a number of other well-known Twitter users. “Everyone can see the video and hear what he said, yet you are lying about it. Do you think 1984 was an instruction manual?” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis spokeswoman Christine Pushaw said in a tweet.

“Even if you suppose that is what he was supposed to have said, or what he meant to say, it is absolutely not what he actually said. The video is right there. He says, ’End of quote. Repeat the line,’” The DC Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy also left a comment. Jay Caruso, managing editor of WEX Magazine, asserted that by attempting to cover up the error, the White House assistant press secretary really caused more harm. Biden has gone off-script or misinterpreted the speaker notes on the teleprompter more than a few times, which has led to several gaffes and countless White House walk-backs."     WH Called Out For Cover Up Of Biden Teleprompter Gaffe | Roaring Patriot

Everyone knows that Joe Biden is the Democrat party's pretend President. That too is not only a embarressment for the White House, it is a massive embarrassment for our entire country. No one really believes Biden in in charge. He can't be...
