Because No Voting System Testing Labs Were Legitimately Accredited at the Time of the 2020 Election, Less Than 5% of All Voting Systems Were Likely Properly Certified

There were no voting system testing labs (VSTL) that were properly accredited at the time of the 2020 Election

  • According to guidelines from the Election Assistance Commission (EAC), there were no VSTL’s accredited for the 2020 election
  • However, it is likely that many voting machines were not properly certified for use in the 2020 elections by accredited testing labs

68 counties were certified by Wyle NTS, whose last lab accredidation was in 2010

  • NTS has never been certified by an accredited VSTL
  • More than two-thirds of the counties in Missouri were not properly certified as of Election Day 2020 (November 3, 2020)
  • 23 counties are listed as counties using voting machines certified by Pro V&V, which expired before November 2020
  • Possibly one county in Missouri which may have been certified a few years ago

Based on this review, only 4 counties in the state of Missouri may have had voting systems that were properly certified on Election Day 2020

  • less than 5% of all the counties statewide had systems properly certified
  • This pattern is likely similar in other states and has been confirmed by other states as well
