The reality-defying willfulness of liberalism makes it an unreliable friend to science.
If liberals support a particular cause, such as drug legalization, they have no problem ignoring the science.
Where "Science" is conjectural, as in the case of climate change, they treat it as indisputable fact.
Where the science is far more certain, as in the case of the dangers of transgender surgery, they treat it as an opinion easily dismissed.
