Dershowitz Says 2020 Candidate Biden Needs More Scrutiny than 'Just a Has-Been Former Vice President'

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz said Thursday that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden requires more scrutiny, not less.

Dershowitz defended President Donald Trump's desire to figure out what happened with Biden using a billion taxpayer dollars to pressure Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating a corrupt company employing Biden's inexperienced son, Hunter.

Why Was Hunter Biden Hired? 'To Buy Access' Dershowitz was asked during an interview on Fox News why he thought any company would pay millions to anyone, including Hunter Biden, who has no experience.

Dershowitz added that when someone is running to become the next President of the United States, it means they must be under greater scrutiny - even if that person is former Vice President Joe Biden.

'If you're running for president, you have to have more scrutiny' "By the way, even if he did say it on the day that Biden announced, when a person announces for president, that subjects him to greater scrutiny by the media, by everybody else," Dershowitz said.

"So, of course you're going to get greater scrutiny if you're running for president - Instead of having been just a has-been former vice president. You don't need scrutiny."

"If you're running for president, you have to have more scrutiny," he continued.
