With this Russian collusion story, major media outlets were simply making it up as they went along. Sunday, with the first details of the Mueller report having been passed on to Congress, the media’s conspiracy theories crumbled as quickly as you would expect. Unfortunately, very few in the media have realized it yet. That’s to their great detriment. There is probably no way to salvage what’s left of the MSM’s reputation at this point, but it is at least worth a try. We need to see corporate-level mea culpas. We need to see mass firings. We need to see apologies on every broadcast of Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, Chris Matthews, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, and Joy Reid, to name but a few. We need full page – nay, full ISSUE – apologies from the major east coast newspapers. That would only begin what the left likes to call “the healing process.” Would it work?
