Things to Think About 1

This item summarizes the happenings of just the month of July. After summarizing 95 linked items here is a bit of what he offers as a conclusion. Quote: "America continues to break apart as the Political Left grows increasingly unhinged and, now, more violent.  Immigration and the battle for the Supreme Court further divide the country just as Socialism now threatens a burgeoning rift within the Democratic Party. On the economic front, interest rates continued to rise as deficits soared and rumors of trade wars, and threats of literal war, created a sense of impending unease around the world. As the Political Left leveled accusations against Trump for alienating allies while coddling to Russia’s Putin, Trump’s domestic battle raged on across many fronts – from Cohen and sex crimes, to the ongoing work of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Attorney Rod Rosenstein as they continue to fabricate a political gallows and knot an imaginary rope into a legal noose around the President’s neck."    https://www.theburningplatform.com/2018/08/01/a-fork-in-the-road-approaches-the-short-list-95-revelations-from-july-2018/

This is just one of many dirty tactics in which Democrats engage to get their way.  I no longer have any use for an organization whose leadership is so corrupt as to use destructive tactics against innocent business enterprises and their employees and families. It reveals just how little they care about people.  They are blinded by political hatred which has no place in our American Republic. Their left wing tyrannical political objectives alone are all they care about. The interests of innocent people are to be manipulated for their political purposes no matter the resulting harm. Nothing else matters.   https://freebeacon.com/issues/dems-expand-push-blacklist-businesses-working-trumps-border-wall/?   Anyone who thinks these irresponsible political maneuvers serve the interests of American citizens is dead wrong.  And, one more thing.  It is no wonder that the party is in such disarray.  With elected officials as dumb as this Senator they are in a very bad place. You will be stunned by her ignorance...I certainly was.   https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/07/31/sen-mazie-hirono-thinks-trump-made-law-criminalizing-illegal-immigration/

This is why Democrats like open borders, illegal immigrants and refugees.  https://patriotpulse.net/philadelphias-democrat-mayor-just-made-a-dangerous-move-to-cripple-ice/   Ask yourself what does citizenship mean to Democrats.  It means nothing to them.  They want voters to put them in office no matter who, what, dead, alive, criminal, cant read or write, understand political matters, or where they come from so long as the vote for them.  Citizenship is not a requirement. They do not care one bit about the interests of law abiding tax paying citizens - they only care about citizens who vote for them. The rest are stupid, and unworthy of their time and effort.  Total political control is the name of their game.    https://twitter.com/charliekirk11/status/1024664703618826241    To them voter fraud does not exist if votes come their way.  They always fight against any effort at cleaning up or maintaining accurate and current voter registration rolls. They use the discrimination rationale to make their case. Riiiiggghhhttt !!!!   Many accounts exist which confirm their deep opposition to honest elections.

Worth the time.  Quote: "If you wish to understand Obama, Clinton and the modern Democratic and Republican parties, which are both parties representing different segments of the affluent and the powerful,  I urge you to spend the time to watch the latter half of the second video.  The Democrats may speak the cause of the dispossessed and the weak, but tend to treat and view them not as constituents but as charges, with the kind of condescension and utility of neo-colonialism and ‘the meritocracy’s burden.’ Obama is every bit the narcissist as is Trump.  The difference is that Obama is more articulate in his expressions of it, in his appeals to those things that will provide him more of what he thinks that he deserves. It is an analysis of our current situation by Thomas Frank. You may have seen it before, but I urge you to watch it through in light of everything that has occurred. Watch the entire video with the Q&A if you have the time.   There are some practical solutions discussed therein.  Basically the system is going to be changed from the bottom up, or not at all."  Both videos are worth watching especially portions recommended by the author.    https://www.theburningplatform.com/2018/07/31/economic-theology-obama-and-the-rise-of-the-new-international-elite/

Socialist Bernie Sanders thinks Medicare is a great government run program. In fact he thinks it is so good that all Americans should use it as their healthcare program.  What he seems to not realize is the program is running out of money.  The Medicare Trustees recently announced that the program will become insolvent in 2026 three years earlier than the previous estimate.  Sanders is a Senator.  Surely he knows this.  The program he has offered is estimated to cost taxpayers more than $32 trillion over ten years. This item tells us that cost savings would not result for several reason. Quote: "The paper finds that under ideal conditions, national health expenditures (NHEs) would be about $90 billion less in 2022 under the Medicare for All plan, thanks in large part to a drop in administrative costs and a slight fall off in personal health spending. NHEs are a measure of the total spending on health care by all Americans: individuals, companies, cities, states, and the federal government. The decline in NHEs under Medicare for All is a function of a massive cost redistribution. Responsibility would move from individual consumers to the federal government—which would take on an additional $2.5 trillion in annual health care costs, a bill to be footed by the taxpayer—and medical service providers like hospitals, which would almost certainly lose large sums of money under a plan that mandates they accept Medicare's extremely low payment schedule. That assumption—that Medicare for All would mean all Americans enjoying the much lower prices Medicare commands in buying health care services—is key to the slight advantage the Sanders plan has over the current trajectory. That goes away, the paper finds, if for example we assume that payments will be made at the current average market rate—the mean of all of the private and public health care prices in the market today. If we use that number, then the ten-year cost of Medicare for All rises to $38 trillion, well-outstripping status quo projections."   Because Medicare is not mandated for all medical practitioners today but would be if Sanders' plan were adopted quality of care is sure to suffer.  That would happen is bolstered by the fact that Medicare payments are usually far less than the cost provided by highly qualified and specialized heath care providers and hospitals. Likewise medical advances/innovations would suffer because such things would be viewed as unnecessary and too costly to pursue.  Historically few government run innovation programs succeed because they stifle the natural innovation found in the public sector. American citizens would suffer at least three ways - taxes would increase, quality of health care would decline and choices would be limited.  Government would make our health care choices for us via an endless array of bureaucratic regulations. Not to mention that Medicare, as are most government run programs, is rife with fraud, waste and abuse.
