Last week, Kerry – the recently Obama-appointed successor to Hillary Clinton serving as Secretary of State – appeared before both the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee to argue it was imperative for the United States to launch a limited military strike on the government of Bashir al-Assad in Syria.
