Things Worth Considering 2

Contrary to politicians and CDC tyrants demands, sane people are starting to stand up in defense of their constitutional rights. In this case my guess is that Nancy Pelosi ordered the newly appointed Capitol Police Chief to issue an order to arrest anyone not wearing a mask, including fellow officers. Here is what happened. Quote: "Capitol Police Back Down on Mask Arrest Threat. Despite Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger ordering officers to report House members not abiding by a mask mandate, the office issued a statement later Thursday backing down on the threat of arrest right about the time Congress passed $71 million in new funding for the force. The U.S. Capitol Police tweeted a statement: "Regarding the House mask rule, there is no reason it should ever come to someone being arrested. Anyone who does not follow the rule will be asked to wear a mask or leave the premises. The department's requirement for officers to wear masks is for their health and safety." Manger was named the new chief of the Capitol Police just last week, and he had warned members of Congress would be subject to arrest for unlawful entry under DC Code 22-3302.

The action comes on the same day both the House and Senate resoundingly passed a $2.1 billion funding measure that delivers $71 million taxpayer funds for the Capitol Police to cover overtime costs, hire new officers, and other expenses. The Senate approved the legislation early Thursday afternoon 98-0, and the House passed it immediately afterward 416-11. Five fiscal conservatives and six progressive Democrats, who have backed defunding the police, including the liberal Squad, voted against the funding. It goes to President Joe Biden's desk for an official signature. Manger tweeted a statement on the massive funding boost for his police force: "We are extremely grateful for the hard work of our congressional stakeholders and everyone who helped pass this legislation. Today is a major step toward making necessary adjustments for our department, supporting our workforce, and carrying out our critical mission." Republicans on Twitter flaunted opposition to the mask arrest threat. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., tweeted: "This is INSANE. Might as well come into my office and arrest my entire staff. We are not wearing masks. I support the Capitol Hill Police, but the Chief of Police made a mistake here. The physician and the chief of police don't have this authority." Massie rebuked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for "being behind this" and using the "Capitol Police as her muscle behind this" in a tweeted video of remarks.

"She needs to start acting like a representative of the people of the United States of America, instead of like a dictator and a hypocrite," Massie said in the video, noting Pelosi was not wearing a mask in the House on Thursday. "She is a hypocrite and a tyrant and this needs to stop, and we are fighting her today," he concluded. Massie was among the 11 in the House to vote against the $2.1 billion funding bill Thursday, along with: Reps. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.; Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y.; Cori Bush, D-Mo.; Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.; Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.; Chip Roy, R-Texas; Bob Good, R-Va.; Tom McClintock, R-Calif.; and Ralph Norman, R-S.C. Massie also sued Pelosi in federal court for her House mask mandate and vowed to take the fight to the U.S. Supreme Court.    Capitol Police Back Down on Mask Arrest Threat | Newsmax.com

Here is another group who are resisting clearly un-Constitutional vaccine mandates. Quote: "Top Teachers’ Unions Refuse Vaccination Requirement. Two of the country’s largest teachers’ unions refuse to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for their members, even as public schools require vaccinations for their students. The National Education Association (NEA) and American Federation of Teachers (AFT) are pushing against mandatory teacher vaccinations as the 2021-22 school year approaches, instead asking for weekly testing and other alternatives. But public universities such as the University of Indiana and California state schools are already forcing students to vaccinate before returning to campus for instruction. The move contradicts remarks made in September 2020 by AFT president Randi Weingarten. At the time, she said she supported mandating COVID-19 vaccines for teachers once they were approved and made readily available. The powerful teachers' unions are breaking with labor leadership in their approach. AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka said Tuesday he supports a vaccine mandate for union workers. Other public sector organizations advocate for mandatory vaccinations, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs and local governments in New York and California. The department’s decision affects more than 100,000 frontline workers alone, while growing demands from New York and California governments for public sector workers to get vaccinated touches more than two million. Weingarten came under fire from Republicans last summer for arguing that opening schools in the fall would be "very dangerous." After strongly supporting a return to in-person schooling this fall, she backtracked on Wednesday, saying the union would "try to open up schools" but that new CDC guidance had thrown the group a "curveball."      Top Teachers’ Unions Refuse Vaccination Requirement (freebeacon.com)

The political left has gone ding-bat crazy and is increasingly flexing its tyrannical muscle just because they can. This is embarrassing and irresponsible behavior. You know that our very on tyrant, Joe Biden, wants to mandate all federal employees get vaccinated, wear masks on federal property and carry a vaccine passport as proof of being vaccinated against the virus that is quickly becoming useless against emerging varients.  Quote: "AMERICAN POSTAL WORKERS UNION OPPOSES MANDATORY VACCINATIONS ‘AT THIS TIME’.  The American Postal Workers Union (APWU) has said that it opposes mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations, amid reports that the White House is considering so-called vaccine passports as a condition of employment for federal employees. The union, which represents over 220,000 postal workers, released a statement late Wednesday saying that while it will encourage postal workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, it is “not the role of the federal government to mandate vaccinations for the employees we represent.”  “Issues related to vaccinations and testing for COVID-19 in the workplace must be negotiated with the APWU. At this time the APWU opposes the mandating of COVID-19 vaccinations in relation to U.S. postal workers,” the statement said. The APWU released its statement a day after President Joe Biden said that the White House is considering mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for all federal workers."     American Postal Workers Union Opposes Mandatory Vaccinations ‘At This Time’ – Street Wise Politics
