Things Worth Considering 2

This backs-up the notion that Democrat support for BLM is really bad thinking. It also reveals that Joe Biden has no idea of how big a mess he is making for the Democrats. Regarding BLM most Americans have low regard for their well established criminal intentions. Quote: Support for BLM Collapses as Biden Continues to Push Their Propaganda. In a series of opinion pieces about George Floyd and the United States, The New York Times bemoaned that public support for Black Lives Matter has collapsed and the so-called racial reckoning it hoped for did not materialize. Support for BLM, a violent Marxist and black supremacist movement, has particularly declined among Republicans, whites, and Hispanics, though Democrats and blacks have slightly distanced themselves, too. Net support for BLM among Democrats and Republicans hovered around zero, meaning that Americans neither supported nor opposed the group, until a series of decontextualized, sensationalized, and often fake stories filled corporate media and the internet. After the deaths of Breonna TaylorAhmaud Arbery, and Floyd, support for BLM surged to +10 percent for Republicans and +15 percent for Democrats. Then the riots started. By the end of the summer, net support among Republicans dropped 30 points to -15 percent, while Democratic support inched down to about +11 percent. Since then, BLM’s approval rating has held mostly steady, with a slight downward trend among Republicans. Of all races, Hispanics and Latinos registered the highest net-positive support, at about +20 percent, for BLM at the start of the riots. This demographic, in the aggregate, now shows +1 percent net support."   Black support started slightly lower, at about +11 percent, and has fallen to +6 percent.     Support for BLM Collapses as Biden Continues to Push Their Propaganda - Headline USA

This is a most insightful piece about the catastrophe known as Social Media. I think he is on to something. See if you agree.  Quote: "In a recent piece at The Bulwark, Sonny Bunch puts into words a sentiment sensed by many for years, namely, that what once made social media so great has now made it unbearable. According to Bunch, social media’s original design as platforms for “debate culture” has descended into a toxic landscape of information silos where arguments are “dismissed in favor of agreement.” Rather than a boundless world of information and opinions, social media now serves to blind users from reality. This sorry situation, however, is precisely what Emory University professor Mark Bauerlein predicted in his 2008 book, The Dumbest Generation, How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future. How tragically right he was. Today, social media is used far less for reasoned debate than as the vehicle for outraged mobs to launch vicious fusillades against their perceived enemies. Some targets of this vehemence are large organizations and companies able to withstand such attacks. Often, however, victims of social media lynch mobs are individuals who knowingly or by chance have traversed the social media crosshairs of the Left and expressed views at odds with the prevailing social media orthodoxy...Whether tech companies could have (or, should have) seen this coming, they are responsible for building the content silos now tearing our culture apart. This raises an important question: Is social media’s descent a reflection of society’s debasement, or a catalyst accelerating it? Actually, both. Two of social media biggest failures – tribalism and confirmation bias – existed long before the rise of Facebook and Twitter, as traits of the human condition. Individuals naturally gravitate toward like-minded people and possess an instinctual skepticism of ideas and information different from theirs. Traditional liberal arts education was designed specifically to undermine that innate skepticism, and provide young minds with the intellectual tools to withstand the challenge of competing ideas and to unashamedly defend one’s own views. The demise of traditional liberal arts education in favor of leftist groupthink, coupled with the ascendancy of social media as a way to block out disfavored ideas, has resulted in barriers to independent thought and reasoned debate that make it now nearly impossible to overcome. In the pressure cooker of social media, bad ideas and bad behaviors are not checked, but rather rewarded with greater engagement, in a sociopathic feedback system used by its purveyors to create addiction to their servicesTo make matters worse, traditional alternatives to social media’s distortive effect on information and reality, including the mainstream media, politicians, and religious leaders, appear to be following in social media’s footsteps, with fear-mongering and hyperbolic rhetoric increasingly used to manipulate followers. We see this dangerous phenomenon everywhere."    Liberty Guard | The Cultural Catastrophe of Social Media - Liberty Guard

It is unconscionable to condone for any dictatorial leader much less the President of the United States. For American citizens it is a blatant violation of the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution. Quote: "Employers Can Require Vaccinations Under Biden Rule. The federal government on Friday said employers can offer incentives to employees who receive COVID-19 vaccines without violating federal anti-discrimination laws, an announcement that comes as several states have launched programs to increase inoculation rates.

In an update of its COVID-19 guidance, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission also said employers could require all workers physically entering a workplace to be vaccinated against the coronavirus but that federal law may require the employer to provide reasonable accommodations for employees who aren’t vaccinated because of a disability or religious belief. Employers are allowed to offer incentives to employees who receive vaccinations through their employer or an affiliated agent so long as the incentive is ''not so substantial as to be coercive.'' ''Because vaccinations require employees to answer pre-vaccination disability-related screening questions, a very large incentive could make employees feel pressured to disclose protected medical information,'' it said. ''However, this incentive limitation does not apply if an employer offers an incentive to employees to voluntarily provide documentation or other confirmation that they received a COVID-19 vaccination on their own from a third-party provider that is not their employer or an agent of their employer.'' The EEOC also said employers are required to keep their staff’s vaccination information confidential."

Unconstitutional Government sponsored word games do not pass the smell test.  Being forced by coercion to get an unwanted vaccination or lose your job is unethical by any definition. Americans have the right to determine what goes into their bodies. If the political left Democrats insists that a woman has the right to kill her baby, then anyone has an equal right to refuse to have a vaccine with a known history of causing harm to one's health and even death.  All American citizens have the right to take care of themselves. Left wing dictatorial nonsense is just that dictatorial NONSENSE, grossly unethical and unconstitutional to boot.     Employers Can Require Vaccinations Under Biden Rule | Newsmax.com

This is what the idiots running the CDC and Dr. Fauci probably know but push their irresponsible mandates on us because  the only solution they support is their beloved vaccines, masks, social distancing, hide in our homes until they tell us we can come out, and shut down local economies which are far more dangerous than they admit and not nearly as safe and effective as they claim.  Well, India is in the midst's of dealing with the coronavirus and has found a solution that beats their solution hands down.  Quote: "Number of COVID cases in Delhi crashes after mass distribution of ivermectin. I get the New York Times' daily free newsletter in my email.  You can save your rotten tomatoes.  I refuse to pay for anything they print.  But sometimes it's useful to stay in contact with the other side. The NYT May 27 letter discusses the history of the COVID lab leak theory and declares that "the best mitigation strategies — travel restrictions, testing, contact tracing, social distancing, ventilation, and masking — are still the best mitigation strategies."  My parsimony has once again been proven well founded.  Let's break it down. Mitigation is "the process or result of making something less severe, dangerous, painful, harsh, or damaging."  That means that anything that makes getting COVID less likely is a form of mitigation.  Ditto for making the bug not so nasty if you should happen to get it.  All of the NYT measures fall into the first group.  And, as they like to trumpet, we should "Follow the Science!"  The piece proceeds to take apart the whole WHO and CDC charade. So, read on...  The piece concludes with these words. "Of course, all the science in the world is meaningless if you don't measure the ultimate effect on disease transmission.  And the verdict is in.  Masks have had zero effect on the rates of COVID.  It's not even certain that the vaunted N95s are much help in keeping health care workers safe.  The reasons there are complex, but negative pressure rooms (ventilation) and U.V. sterilization (artificial sunlight) seem to be the most effective methods. So what should we do with anything the NYT says about COVID?  Get informed about the facts from reliable scientific sources, not echo chamber pundits.  And as Jimmy Buffett sings, I'm looking for my lost shaker of salt."     The New York Times' Bone-Headed Guidelines on COVID 'Mitigation' - American Thinker
