Things To Reflect Upon 2

This piece suggests massive surveillance of private citizens is in fact happening.  Quote: "The lawyer who founded Judicial Watch and later Freedom Watch, Larry Klayman, has sent a letter to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, asking him to look at a whistleblower’s evidence of “systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans, again including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen such as Donald Trump, and even yours truly.”  That spying was done, Klayman’s letter contends, by the FBI.  It’s become a major issue following President Trump’s assertion that he and Trump Tower were spied upon by the federal government, and the subsequent denials by intelligence and law-enforcement officials, including FBI Director James Comey, who famously cleared Hillary Clinton on accusations she mishandled classified information as U.S. secretary of state.  Klayman has been working with Dennis Montgomery, a former NSA and Central Intelligence Agency contractor who “left the NSA and CIA with 47 hard drives and over 600 million pages of information, much of which is classified.”

Who are the real power brokers running our government.  This piece provides insight.  Quote: "The Big Club are massive and complex networks of lobbying groups who actually write legislation.  What follows, depending on their own evaluation of importance therein, are payments to the politicians to go and sell their construct.  The amount of payment varies depending on how valuable the construct is to the interests of the Club.  Big legislative constructs that provide the Club large income increases are worth more than smaller ones.  This is the accurate background framework to consider ObamaCare.  Within The BIG CLUB there are, essentially, two larger factions with interest: Big Labor and Wall Street (big crony-business).  There are other factions like Big Green (Al Gore) etc. However, for the sake of ObamaCare the two that matter are “Big Labor” (AFL-CIO, SEIU, AFSCME, UFCW etc), and Wall Street (U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Tom Donohue).  The Big Club has paid for ObamaCare’s construct, and they are not going to allow their sales force to walk away from it.  From their position, this is a massive ‘multi-multi-hundreds-of-millions’ expenditure that has already taken place. Tom Donohue (U.S. CoC) already lost hundreds of millions when his construct (his team actually did the writing) of TPP was lost due to Donald Trump.   Donohue’s TPP loss followed the loss of Comprehensive Immigration Reform (2014 Dave Brat), and his loss of Common Core Education standards, again with Donald Trump.
Donohue spent hundreds of millions on Gang of Eight, Common Core, TPP and there is no way Tom Donohue is going to accept losing his biggest investment to date, Obamacare."
This is a very, very unfortunate legacy that history will document and which will destroy any good he may have done.

The political left continues to assure us that things Trump said about problems with Muslims in Sweden are false.  Everything there is wonderful.  This piece suggests Trump is right and they are patently wrong.

If politicians did their homework they would know when they were displaying ignorance.  Or maybe they just don't care to deal with facts or the truth.

This piece reveals that federal law enforcement resources are being overwhelmed by illegal immigrants.  Quote: "Immigration-related crimes made up half of all federal law enforcement arrests in 2014, according to a new Department of Justice report released Thursday.  Immigration offenses accounted for more than 81,000 of the 165,256 arrests made by federal authorities in 2014, the Bureau of Justice Statistics found in its study. Nearly two-thirds of the total number of federal arrests occurred in the five jurisdictions that sit along the U.S.-Mexican border. The report further found those arrested along the U.S. southern border to be more likely than those arrested in any other region in the country to return to federal prison within three years of release."   This bit of information comes courtesy of our liberal friends who seem not to be bothered by reality.  Worse yet consider this.   The illogical logic of liberals is beyond belief.  Unbelievably their support of illegals and refugees who do bad things suggests they care more for them than their own children.  What a warped sense of morality.

Most people understand that the left has not been doing well with the majority of Americans for the past several years.  This item examines this topic. Quote: "m considering making each entry in this space for the next several weeks a continuation of the argument that today’s modern Left and the Democrat Party it drives is a movement by and for people incapable of doing a proper job.  This wasn’t always true, mind you. Not completely. After all, it was Democrats who ran the antebellum South, and their idea of running a successful economy was forced agricultural labor to benefit a medieval-style aristocracy. But on the other hand, the Left demonstrated quite often in the past that it was awfully good at winning political arguments — so good, in fact, that it could win them on the basis of patent untruths. The American Left’s myth-making and invention of useful narratives starting in the middle of the 20th century and running to about 2010 will go down as one of the more successful efforts at shaping culture, both political and otherwise, in human history. Controlling the discussion, amid abject failure in government, education, and business (Detroit, for example, or Solyndra, or what they’ve done to Yale or the motion picture industry), has been a feat defying proper explanation. They’re to be congratulated for their skill in masking, if not weaponizing, their failure through narrative. Democrats can’t run an inner city? Accuse everyone else of racism — including the middle class, white and black, who run screaming to the suburbs to escape the failing public schools, rampant crime, cratering infrastructure, and naked corruption."

This is a good move.  Giving tax payer money which gets used to buy illegal drugs to those on welfare is totally wrong.  Looks like it is going to stop.

Things like this cannot but give one the strong impression that Monsanto is a criminal enterprise.

Is this inappropriate or what?   A bit of common sense to counter the previous item.  First note how the problem they created is being solved and then read the real suggestion that details how to fix the mess.
