Random Items That Should Interest 2

Progressivism and Islam have common ideology, interests and purpose.  Quote: "What Nazism-fascism and communism were to the 20th century, Western ideologies on homosexuality and abortion and Islamic fanaticism are to today,” noted Sarah. “Certain keys allow us to discern the same demonic origin of these two movements: they both advocate a universal and totalitarian law, they’re both violently intolerant, destroyers of families and the Church, and openly anti-Christian,” he concluded. Indeed, while there are exceptions, the “progressive” left is overwhelmingly anti-Semitic, anti-Christian and pro-Muslim. Liberals and Islamists, such as those belonging to the American-Islamic terrorist group CAIR, as well as Obama’s pals in the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran, have forged a bizarre and notably incongruous sociopolitical partnership I call the “Islamo-’progressive’ axis of evil.” The only explanation for this, as far as I can tell, is best illustrated by the maxim: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”     http://www.wnd.com/2015/10/islam-and-liberalism-twin-beasts-of-the-apocalypse/

The vitriol of this writer and the willingness of Salon to publish such is beyond reason and indicative of their arrogance and absolute belief in the rightness of their own views and beliefs which put on display their obvious intolerance of the views and disrespect for the beliefs of those who differ with them.  While I fully support free expression this type of journalism is something that is indicative of our times and should be of concern to all.  Quote: The writer says that "Professing belief in a fictitious celestial deity says a lot about the content of a person’s character, and what sort of policies he or she would likely favor."  To use his own words they tell me "a lot about his character, rather his lack of character.  His arrogance, intolerance and religious bigotry is on full display.  The writer 's piece addresses the upcoming 2016 elections and bemoans the fact that the announced Republican candidates are "God-fearing clowns and faith-mongering nitwits [are] groveling before Evangelicals."  Further, he denigrates the candidates when he writes that they are “nattering on about their belief in the Almighty and their certainty that if we just looked, we could find answers to many of our ills in the Good Book.”  And he also bemoans the fact that "There will almost certainly be no (declared) atheist or even agnostic among the candidates. This is scandalous, given the electorate’s gradual, relentless ditching of religion. A survey just out shows that 7.5 million Americans have abandoned their faith since 2012, the year of the Pew Research Center poll that established that one out of five have no religious affiliation. Nonbelief is trending, and among a sizable, growing demographic."  As far as I am concerned he is the real "nitwit" instead of the Christian candidates.  Further, he exposes his enormous ignorance of (or willful dismissal of) the history as to the reasons why people fled Europe seeking religious freedom in colonial America and the religious basis underpinning our nation's founding. He displays that ignorance with his totally baseless and disrespectful nonsense.  If he thinks his ranting's contribute to reasoned dialogue about matters that count he is dead wrong.  Please read the piece and see if you agree.   http://www.salon.com/2015/04/19/marco_rubios_deranged_religion_ted_cruzs_bizarre_faith_our_would_be_presidents_are_god_fearing_clowns/

If anyone thinks this is the way to run a taxpayer funded government and treat our veterans then by all means support this totally irresponsible Democrat tactic being taken for all the wrong reasons.  When the Democrats held control of Congress any such attempt by Republicans was called anti-American or worse.  They are truly disgusting in their belief that more and more and more debt is good for the country.  Their idea of good government is irresponsible government willing to give free stuff to potential voters but not take care of historical government responsibilities.  Quote: "If and when Washington is pushed to the brink of another government shutdown in December, as the just-passed stopgap funding measures approach their expiration, we'll inevitably hear a lot of sound and fury from Democrats about "extreme" Republicans holding crucial federal spending "hostage" in pursuit of an ideological agenda. Setting aside arguments over the wisdom and efficacy of using a shutdown threat as political leverage (which was attempted and sort of conduct, for reasons that aren't likely to impress many voters.  Yesterday, Harry Reid and friends filibustered a spending bill that would fund the VA -- which Democrats routinely claim is underfunded, as a means of explaining away the department's systemic, deadly corruption and concealing the disastrous failure of government-run healthcare."   http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2015/10/02/senate-democrats-filibuster-veterans-funding-bill-n2059902?

When government officials, the power elites and liberals/progressives start speaking in the terms highlighted in this link the nation's mainstream citizenry needs to rise up and vigorously refute such arrogance and self righteousness.  It illustrates their total disdain for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the vast majority of the nation's citizenry.  It is crystal clear that they only care about themselves and their position in all matters and have no regard for average American citizens and our opinions and rights.  They are right and know they are right and obviously take offence if you challenge their all knowing righteousness.   http://eaglerising.com/18610/liberals-believe-you-must-be-made-to-obey/

Now consider this.  Leftist government/courts in their self-righteous arrogance ignore the long established First Amendment rights of one group and ng-says-no-thanks-to-obama-visit-n2061768?  Was it the gun or this poor soul who killed these innocent people?  The gun grabbers either do not understand or choose to ignore the common thread behind these type actions.  It is the demented/mentally sick soul of the person pulling the trigger.  Taking everyone's guns away for the sake of keeping guns out of their hands is foolhardy.  Why is it that the only time something like this happens the chorus of "do gooders" cry lets take away people's guns?  Why don't these same people instead seek solutions to rampant black on black gun violence that goes on almost if not every day in major cities?  Their death toll is an order of magnitude more that these random events.  Are we to think that they think blacks killing blacks using illegal weapons is okay?  Here are some early facts about this unfortunate shooter - like the others he was on medications.  Have you ever read the warnings on the labels of physician prescribed legal drugs for mentally disturbed patients?  If not, you need to know that they say "may cause violent behavior and suicidal thoughts".  Does anyone think that may actually be the problem instead of the guns?  If you still think the guns are the problem then explain to me why way more deaths result from rampant gun violence by gangs (presumably on illegal drugs) using illegally obtained weapons and precious little if anything is said or done?    http://www.naturalnews.com/051453_Christopher_Mercer_psychiatric_medications_autism_spectrum_disorder.html?
