If
reading this piece does not convince you that the NSA is a rogue agency
then I don't know what will. Add to that the White House's refusal to
turn over documents to congressional oversight committees and NSA
multiple obstructions of congressional committee "attempted"
investigations. The two in tandem are a serious danger to Americans.
And, I learned something I did not know until I read this article...the
NSA was established in secret...congress did not learn about its
existence until later. Now if this is not a government doing what it
wants without regard to the laws of the land, much less the
Constitution, then I'm a monkey's uncle. By the way this whole mess is
not limited to this administration - past democrat and republican
administrations are culpable. What an unforgivable mess. I say we vote
all the bums out of office next election. Only vote for verifiably
honest, but most importantly, informed candidates. And then once in
office hold their feet to the fire. It is time to stop being passive
and trusting of government officials, be they elected, appointed, civil
servants within the bureaucracy or hired contractors. It is time to get
mad and do something to salvage our country.
