An Example of Gross Political Hypocrisy

Most of those who populate today's political class are nothing more than opportunists and political hacks.  They flip-flop based on party interests or what serves their own interests.  Most feign interest in their constituents but mostly pursue interests that serve their political careers.  One reason the political class has fallen to such depths is the absence of term limits.  Politics is now a self serving career and not a calling to serve.  Our nation will not escape its current condition unless we the people get involved in cleaning up the mess we helped create by not paying attention to what our elected officials were up to.  Politicians will not impose term limits because they are the very ones who benefit by not having them - they like living off the public doll and enjoy the perks that go with "public service".  Therefore, the public must become involved.  We can do at least two things.  Vote out every politician now serving and insist that newly elected officials impose term limits.  Failing that, vote them out of office too.  That will not solve our problems but it is at least a start.  This link is what prompted this little tirade.
