In an act of sheer hypocricy Senate democrats are taking aim at a budget proposal passed by the House. It is notable that the Senate, under Harry Reid's
leadership, has not even submitted a budget much less passed one for
the past three years. And, both the Senate and House unanamously
rejected President Obama's budget proposal. It was obviously not deemed
credible - it did not get a single democrat vote. So the democrats,
instead of offering a budget meriting legitimate debate, prefer to take
politically motivated pot-shots at one offered by the republicans. Is
that the kind of leadership we need in the face of huge fiscal
challenges? If democrats have a proposal then they should after more
than three years put it on the table. Then, and only then
will Congress have something to debate.
