How the Climate Commission tried to trick you

Let’s check some of the tricks used by the alarmist Climate Commission in its latest report.
Claim:
•Over the last 40 years much of eastern and southern Australia has become drier, with Victoria experiencing a 10-20% reduction in autumn and winter rain over the last 20 years.
Trick: cherry picking, by choosing the usually wet 1970s as a starting point.
Contradiction: the Climate Commission last year admitted the recent drought actually didn’t have a global warming signal:

“Our capability to project future changes to rainfall patterns, apart from the drying trend in southwest Western Australia, remains uncertain” and ”it is difficult from observations alone to unequivocally identify anything that is distinctly unusual about the post-1950 pattern”...
Claim:

•Global sea-level rise is tracking near the highest levels scientists expect. This means that a potential 1 m rise over this century is a serious risk threatening Victoria’s iconic beaches, and thousands of residential and commercial buildings.
Trick: cherrypicking and trusting more to models than to observation.
Contradiction: There has been no acceleration of the steady sea-level rises noted since the end of the Little Ice Age. In fact, there has been a slowing of the rate of rise over the past six years, despite a big increase in man-made carbon dioixde emissions. The long-term rate of increase, if maintained, gives us a rise of just 31cms in a century:
